Mr. John Goodrich, currently an Adjunct Faculty at Hartnell College, has been performing on stage as an actor, singer and dancer for more than 40 years. He has performed in the Salinas area since 1992 with Salinas Performing Arts, Hartnell College, Ariel and other community groups.He has studied and taught modern dance from San Francisco to New York.
In 1970 he received his B. A. in Dance Theater at Cal State Hayward. John moved from the Bay area to Santa Cruz to work on a Masters in Dance. He established a dance studio and modern dance company in San Jose in 1975. In 1978 he received his M.A. in Dance from San Jose State University.
John retired from the stage and teaching in 1980 to work a day job and help raise 3 daughters. He started his engineering business in 1989 after 11 years with National Semiconductor Corp. He returned to performing in 1992 with his daughters in Salinas Performing Art's The Nutcracker. In 2002 John and Megan Morias established the Antique Moving Company, a loose association of dancers and choreographers over the age of 40.
